Fishing
This pond receives an ample stocking of trout both spring and fall and it has enough holdover potential to produce a few trophy fish. The chain pickerel population is good with above average growth rates. Overall, however, the general fish population is dominated by stunted sunfish. The largemouth bass population appears overfished, but contains some good fish.

Description
The bottom is sand and gravel.  There are three and a half miles of shoreline, 75% of which is developed. Emergent aquatic vegetation covers about five percent of the surface area. This pond was reclaimed in 1956. The standing crop at that time was estimated at 191.0 pounds of fish per acre.
This park is popular in the summer with swimmers and boaters of all kinds.  For the latest information, checkout the state website.
